About STUDIOLIST
Every producer has been on the other side of this question: you hear a track, you love the sound, and you have no idea what made it. STUDIOLIST is the answer written down — one page per person, listing what they actually work on.
One catalogue, not a thousand text fields
When you add Serum to your studio, you are pointing at the same catalogue row as everyone else who owns it. That is the only reason “8,432 studios use this” can mean anything, and it is why adding gear starts with a search instead of a blank field. If something genuinely is not in the database you can add it, and it gets reviewed before it enters search.
The loop
A gear page lists the people who use it. A person’s page lists their music. Their music leads to gear you had not heard of. Everything here exists to keep that circle turning.
Your data
- Your studio is yours. Public, unlisted or private, and you can hide individual items without deleting them. Hidden gear is never counted in a statistic.
- Purchase prices are private by default and are never shown publicly or aggregated.
- We do not track you across the web. There is no analytics pixel, and product artwork is copied to our own servers rather than hot-linked, so viewing a studio does not tell a shop who you are.
- Verification asks for as little as possible. A legal name is optional and only ever visible to reviewers.
Badges
A verification badge confirms identity and nothing else. It does not rank a studio, weight a review, or grant power over anyone else’s content, and it is not for sale. How verification works
Product links
A shop link belongs to the shop, not to the product. We keep them as separate records so a manufacturer’s official page and a marketplace listing can sit side by side without one pretending to be the other. Prices shown were read at a point in time and go stale — always check on the shop.
